Information and Knowledge Management Consultant

Purpose of consultancy
The main objective of this consultancy is to improve the management of knowledge and information within the office, ensuring coherent and efficient processes that contribute to more informed decision-making and strengthened operational performance.
Background:
The WHO Country Office in Ukraine is dedicated to strengthening its knowledge management systems and ensuring the continuity of operational processes that underpin its health initiatives and decision-making. The Consultant will collaborate with multiple units across the office, playing a key role in developing strategies and procedures, documenting lessons learned, and maintaining the continuity of critical workflows. Serving as a focal point for the collection, organization, and dissemination of internal information, the Consultant will work closely with teams responsible for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Deliverables:
Deliverable 1 – Activity and Progress Tracking:
Maintain and update a project implementation tracker monthly (11 updates total), including progress summaries on completed activities, outputs, and pending actions (Recovery Teams) .
Deliverable 2 – Coordination and Technical Meetings:
Organize and document at least 10 coordination or technical meetings/workshops, providing agendas, participant lists, and action notes within 5 working days after each event.
Deliverable 3 – Information and Document Management:
Establish a structured digital filing system (Teams/SharePoint) with 100% of project documentation uploaded and categorized by thematic area by month 3, and maintained throughout the contract.
Deliverable 4 – Knowledge and Communication Products:
Develop at least 3 communication or knowledge materials (e.g. technical briefs, presentations, success stories) showcasing project results, lessons learned, or partner contributions by month 10.
All deliverables will be submitted by email in English or Ukrainian, as relevant, in MS WORD format, by the deadlines indicated above.
Qualifications, experience, skills and languages:
Educational Qualifications:
Essential: First-university degree in information management, social science public health, business administration, or related field
Experience:
Essential:
• At least 3 years of experience in knowledge management, SOP development, or process improvement.
• Experience working with international organizations, particularly in health systems or humanitarian settings.
Desirable:
• Experience working with WHO or other UN agencies
• Experience working in Ukraine or with similar country offices
Skills/Knowledge:
Essential:
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in knowledge management tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive).
Desirable:
• Familiarity with WHO or other UN agencies processes
Languages and level required:
Essential: Fluency in oral and written English.

Contract total value: 42000 USD
Monthly rate, daily rate and numbers of the days: 6000 USD per month, 20 working days per month
