UN Professional Staff Positions — P and D Grades

Professional and Directors' grade positions (P-1 to P-5, D-1, D-2) are internationally recruited through open competitive processes. They require an advanced university degree and are paid in USD with a post-adjustment applied per duty station. Most international UN careers start at P-2 (2+ years' experience) or P-3 (5+ years) and progress through competitive promotion. ASG and USG posts are the most senior professional appointments.
