UN Consultant & Individual Contractor Positions

UN consultant and individual contractor (IC) positions offer flexible engagements for specialists. These include IICA (International Individual Contractor Agreements) and LICA (Local Individual Contractor Agreements), primarily used by UNDP, UNOPS, FAO and WFP. Unlike staff contracts, consultant fees are negotiated per engagement and do not include the full UN staff benefits package. However, they offer flexibility and can be a pathway to longer-term UN careers.
