About the Country/Multi-Country Office
Based in Brazil, the UNOPS Southern Cone Multi-Country Office (SCMCO) also oversees operations in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, supporting national priorities and development goals across the subregion. In Argentina, UNOPS strengthens public institutions by providing technical assistance in planning, procurement, and oversight of infrastructure projects—particularly in public buildings—and building capacity in public procurement, with a focus on technological innovation. In Brazil, where UNOPS has operated since 2012, the office collaborates with UN agencies, financial institutions, and government bodies at all levels to deliver services in health, education, urbanization, social rehabilitation, PPPs, and institutional strengthening. UNOPS has played a key role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and currently manages 17 active projects across the country. Its work emphasizes transparency, operational efficiency, and results-driven management while aligning with the strategic and operational needs of its partners. Across the Southern Cone, UNOPS promotes sustainable development by enhancing national capabilities and supporting the delivery of high-impact, inclusive infrastructure.

Role Purpose
El/La Empleado/a de Administración proporciona apoyo administrativo, logístico y de oficina esencial para garantizar el funcionamiento eficaz y sin contratiempos de la oficina. Al encargarse de las tareas cotidianas asignadas, que abarcan desde la recepción y el mantenimiento de registros hasta la logística, la gestión de las instalaciones y el apoyo para los desplazamientos, el/la Empleado/a de Administración ayuda a los equipos a trabajar de forma eficaz.
Functions / Key Results Expected
Apoyo administrativo
- Prestar apoyo administrativo y de oficina en general, lo que incluye archivar, escanear, fotocopiar, introducir datos y gestionar registros.
- Ayudar a archivar y mantener los registros de la oficina.
- Mantener registros e informes precisos (por ejemplo, registros de asistencia, facturas o suministros), garantizando actualizaciones y entregas oportunas según corresponda.
Recepción y secretaría
- Recibir y direccionar las llamadas telefónicas, la correspondencia y las visitas.
- Apoyar las tareas de recepción, coordinación de reuniones y uso de las instalaciones de conferencias.
Logística y apoyo a eventos
- Ayudar en la organización logística de reuniones, talleres, desplazamientos y eventos.
- Asistir en la organización de eventos de la organización, talleres y retiros.
Gestión de oficina e instalaciones
- Ayudar con el control de existencias e inventario de suministros, consumibles y activos.
- Cuando se le indique, prestar asistencia en las actividades de adquisición, como la presentación de pedidos, recibos y solicitudes de pago en el sistema de planificación de los recursos institucionales (ERP).
Apoyo para los desplazamientos
- Organizar los desplazamientos del personal, incluidas las reservas, la logística y las autorizaciones de seguridad.
