The Position:
The AAP (Accountability to Affected People) and Disability Inclusion (AAP/DI) Analyst supports the integration of accountability, participation and inclusive approaches across UNFPA programming in Afghanistan. The position contributes to ensuring that humanitarian and Basic Human Needs (BHN) interventions are responsive to the needs, priorities and feedback of affected populations, particularly women, girls, adolescents, youth and persons with disabilities.
Working within a complex Country Office environment, the incumbent analyses and assesses programme implementation practices related to Accountability to Affected People (AAP) and Disability Inclusion (DI), supporting the strengthening of community engagement systems, inclusive service delivery approaches and accessible feedback mechanisms. The role contributes to ensuring that UNFPA programmes remain people-centred, safe, equitable and aligned with UNFPA corporate standards and inter-agency commitments on accountability and inclusion.
The AAP/DI Analyst works closely with programme teams, operations units, implementing partners and coordination mechanisms to strengthen inclusive programming, community participation, monitoring systems and knowledge management related to accountability and disability inclusion.
The position reports directly to the Nexus Coordination Specialist.

Job Purpose:
The AAP/DI Analyst provides technical and analytical support to ensure the systematic integration of Accountability to Affected People (AAP) and Disability Inclusion (DI) across UNFPA humanitarian and Basic Human Needs (BHN) programming in Afghanistan.
The incumbent supports the design and implementation of community engagement mechanisms, accessible feedback and complaints systems, disability-inclusive programming approaches and monitoring frameworks. The role contributes to strengthening the capacity of UNFPA staff and implementing partners to apply inclusive and accountable programming approaches, while supporting coordination with relevant humanitarian and BHN partners.
Through analysis of community feedback, programme monitoring data and field engagement, the position contributes to improving programme quality, strengthening accountability and promoting inclusive access to services for women, girls, young people and persons with disabilities.
Capacity Building and Coordination
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designated authority.
Education:
Advanced university degree in social sciences, international development, disability studies, human rights, humanitarian affairs, or a related field.
Languages:
Fluency in English and local language Dari and/or Pashto is required. Working knowledge of other UN languages would be an asset.
