Education
Master’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
Bachelor’s degree in the above-mentioned subject with four years of relevant experience
Experience
Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
Experience in working on issues related with climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, humanitarian responses, internal displacement and migration;
Experience in organizing international events and workshop planning, implementation and post-workshop reporting and follow-ups.
Demonstrated understanding of and experience working on project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
Demonstrated experience collaborating with a broad set of governmental, humanitarian and development actors;
Experience working on grant management; and,
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.Ability to work independently while maintaining effective coordination with external partners across Africa.
