WFP Volunteer
Purpose:
To perform specialized support processes for a specific professional area of work to facilitate effective service delivery.
Accountabilities (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):
• Support in coordinating non-sensitive data collection and monitoring/assessment systems, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards.
• Support in the collection, sorting, and distribution of correspondence, reports, and other materials to ensure timely delivery and alignment with staff needs.
• Maintain office files, documents, and records in accordance with established systems and procedures, ensuring that information remains up-to-date and readily accessible.
• Assist in organizing events, workshops, seminars, and webinars, ensuring smooth preparation and execution.
• Collaborate with various team members and contribute to the delivery of business support services for staff across functions.
• Prepare minutes of meetings and document field visits and discussions to ensure accurate and comprehensive keeping.
• Perform other related duties as required, in support of overall office operations and team objectives.
Criteria
Education: Completion of secondary school education. University Degree in related functional area is desirable.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station (Proficiency in English & Arabic languages.).
Experience: One year of progressively responsible study/work experience in the related business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word.
Knowledge of work routines and methods to complete processes under minimal supervision.
Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.
Desired Experiences:
Study/Work experience within the development context (UN agencies, international
development Agencies, Egyptian NGOs, …)
