Grades and modalities
There are different modalities available to be engaged by the United Nations.
The basic categories are as follows:
- P and D: Professional and Directors' categories
- S: Secondment
- NRL: Non-reimbursable Loan
- GS: General Service and related categories (G, TC, S, PIA, LT)
- NPO: National Professional Officers
- FS: Field Service personnel
- SG, DSG, USG and ASG: Senior Management (Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Under-Secretary-General, Assistant Secretary-General)
- UNV: United Nations Volunteers
- Consultancy
- Internship
- Gratis personnel
