Programme Policy Officer CST II (SP/CBT) - Jamaica
Education:
Advanced university degree in Social Policy, Public Administration, Economics, International Affairs, or another relevant field; or a first university degree with additional years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in CBT, social protection, disaster risk reduction or emergency response.
Experience managing large-scale CBT operations, including delivery mechanisms, reconciliation, and exception management.
Experience supporting government-led coordination, technical working groups, or multi‑stakeholder platforms.
Experience with shock-responsive social protection and/or disaster risk financing is desirable.
Experience supervising staff and managing operational workflows.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of CBT operations, delivery chain design, data management, and payment assurance.
Understanding of social protection systems and their scalability during shocks.
Knowledge of DRF concepts, triggers, risk financing instruments, and activation protocols.
Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure and engage effectively with government counterparts.
Language:
Fluency in English. Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.

- Remuneration: WFP offers a competitive compensation package determines on the basis of the Term of Reference and the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
- Travel Requirements: The WFP Caribbean Office cover the 22 English and Dutch speaking Caribbean countries. The selected candidate may be required to travel from time to time, both regionally and internationally, to support missions, emergency responses, training etc. As such full medical clearance will be required.
